Please join Lulus in celebrating the Year of the Rat! The Rat is the first of all zodiac animals. The Rat is also associated with the Earthly Branch (地支—dì zhī) Zi (子) and the midnight hours. In the terms of yin and yang (阴阳—yīn yáng), the Rat is yang and represents the beginning of a new day. In Chinese culture, rats were seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. Because of their reproduction rate, married couples also prayed to them for children.
This year we'll be hosting our festivities at our University City location. Join us in watching Chinese Lion Dancers and feast on 10 Course Banquets!
All of our events are from 6-9pm. Please be seated by 6:30pm, the Lion Dances start between 7 and 7:30 each night. Seating will be 10 to a table. (If you have family or friends buying tickets separately, please send us a note and we'll seat you together!)
